Clinton, LA

I love to read - preferably on a beach.

Name someone that has been influential in your life. 
I have been fortunate to have had many people who have profoundly influenced my life. My grandparents and parents are all remarkable individuals. Each one has been influential in making me the person I am today and inspiring me to be the person I want to be for my children.

What does being a Great Futures Gala Honoree mean to you? 
It's really an honor to be included among this group of accomplished and generous community leaders. Being an honoree has given me the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the great work that the Boys & Girls Club is doing for the students and families in Baton Rouge.

Why do you feel it's important to give back? 
Being involved with volunteer organizations that serve this community has given me perspective that I would not have otherwise gained. I think it's important to know our neighbors and how we can work together to make Baton Rouge a better place.

What did you want to be growing up?
A teacher.
