Boys & Girls Club Honors 14 Young Professionals for its Second Annual Great Futures Gala
Baton Rouge, La. – Club Blue, a young professional affinity group for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge, has selected 14 young men and women to be honored at the Club’s Great Futures Gala on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Shaw Center for the Arts.

Celebrating its second year, the Great Futures Gala will honor a select group of outstanding young professionals in the Greater Baton Rouge Area. This class of 14 Great Futures Honorees represents movers and shakers in our community who are on a path to achieving a great future all while giving back and making the community a better place.
“We are thrilled to have such an impressive group of young, community-minded professionals for our second class of Great Futures Gala Honorees,” said the Club’s President and Chief Professional Officer Pat Van Burkleo. “Boys & Girls Club seeks to put youth on the path to a great future, and these honorees are great role models and advocates for our Club Members.”
Honorees were selected by a prestigious committee of local leaders. Each honoree has committed to selling gala tickets and hosting fundraisers for the Club between now and March. Funds raised will support the Boys & Girls Club programs focusing on helping young people achieve academic success, live a healthy lifestyle and practice good character and citizenship.

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge was established 36 years ago to provide out-of-school-time programs for members. The Club serves nearly 10,000 young people annually through afterschool, summer, youth legislature, and violence prevention programs.
